Ecuador ranks fifth in place of the Bolivarian medal

With eight gold medals at the games that took place in Trujillo, Peru. Ecuador ranks fifth in the overall standings, as it was reported by the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee through its Twitter account @ECUADORolimpico.

Furthermore, Ecuadorian athletes earned thirteen silver medals and 16 of bronze, until Monday.

The Ecuadorian Alexandra Escobar, earned three in powerlifting, the canoeist Angie Avegno; the judokas Diana Chala, Fernando Ibanez and Diana Villavicencio, and Vanessa Kronfle in skiing, earned the gold.

In the Bolivarian Games, athletes compete from Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. In addition, athletes participate as guests of Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Paraguay and Dominican Republic.
