Ecuador will have more than $ 8,000 million investment in 2015
On Saturday during its usual nation-wide broadcast, President Rafael Correa announced the Annual Investment Plan for next year, which will include a budget of $ 8,000 million in six areas of the Executive.
Higher values will be invested in strategic sectors, $ 3,000 million; health, $ 800 million; road work, $ 1,000 million; and national security, $ 617 million, of which $ 185 million will go to the National Police and $ 250 million for the Armed Forces.
However, the president acknowledged that 2015 will be difficult. “The 2015 is fiscally tight. (…) The price of oil has gone down, not at an alarming rate, and I think it will recover, but every dollar it lower, means $ 70 million less for the country; It has dropped about $ 10, which represent $ 700 million less,” he said.
