Ecuador will intervene in regional forum in Guatemala
President Rafael Correa traveled to Guatemala on Monday to dialogue today with his Guatemalan counterpart Otto Perez Molina, participate in the V Esquipulas Regional Forum and inaugurate a square with the name of his country.
“Departing to Guatemala. We return tomorrow. Esquipulas Forum Conference, bilateral with Pres Perez, inauguration Square Ecuador, etc.,” wrote the president on the social network Twitter.
Correa will participate in the inauguration of the V Esquipulas Forum that seeks to build agendas for proposals that allow moving towards economic and social development with equity in Central America.
The president will offer in that forum a conference entitled “Man over profits: A different vision for economic development,” reported the Secretariat for Communication of the Presidency in Quito.
It is expected that the forum is attended by former presidents Alvaro Arzu and Alvaro Colom (Guatemala), Elías Antonio Saca (El Salvador), Carlos Mesa (Bolivia), Ernesto Samper (Colombia) and Juan Carlos Wasmosy (Paraguay). (EFE)
