Ecuador will sign 15 agreements with China
With the presentation of the book ” From Banana Republic to the Non-Republic,” translated into Mandarin; meetings with Chinese entrepreneurs and a tour in the Zhongguancun Technology Park, were the activities fulfilled on January 5 by the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, on his first day of official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
The president is scheduled to meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping as well as other senior officials, according to a bulletin of the Chancellery.
Furthermore, Ecuador’s ambassador in China, José María Borja, said that on this tour fifteen agreements will be signed in the areas of education, strategic sectors, science and technology.
The diplomat noted that in Shanghai other agreements would be materialized for the construction of a shipyard and for thedeveloping of a geological and mineral resources map.
