Ecuadorian government will invest $ 500 million in electric cookers installation

Minister of Industry and Productivity, Ramiro Gonzalez announced that the government will continue with the investment in national components needed for manufacturing induction cookers, which cost, according to the minister, will range between $ 150 and $ 320, depending on the number of burners.
The investment of $ 500 million will be left to the Ministry of Electricity in order to help finance the voltage change in most Ecuadorian households as induction cookers are appliances that run on 220 volt connections and in Ecuador, 110 volt connections prevail.
According to the government plan, the marketing of these appliances will start in August.
