Ecuadorian Women Increasingly Involved in the World of Work
A study carried out by the consulting firm Deloitte to 97 Ecuadorian companies, notes that only 39% of the staff of the companies surveyed are female, while the rest are men, showing that male gender continues to be imposed in the labor world in our country.
This analysis, called “Executive Women 2013”, shows that the participation of women in executive positions (middle to high level) is still limited (30 and 33%) and only 4% of women hold positions of general management.
However, the labor psychologist and university professor Cristina Crespo said there is evidence of a breakthrough in terms of a more active involvement in economic and political matters in the country, in relation to 30 years ago.
According to the study, 52% of women believe that finding a balance between work and family is a limitation for them.
