One particular question is of interest for the immigrants since it deals with judicial reform that offers citizens security in foreign lands and guarantees that if a citizen is not affiliated to the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security will be considered as felony. It also deals with the prohibition of the gambling and casinos, along with the regulation of the press and investments in communication media; it will also affect the bank investments of businesses that are not related to its economic environment.
According to the National Electoral Council (CNE), a total of 205,909 immigrants have registered for the electoral voting. In Spain the National Electoral Council (CNE) will perform the popular consult on May 7, while the Spanish government has given 230 joint receptions for the vote in six rented consulates that Ecuador has in the country.
