Electoral campaign starts on Friday

The official schedule for the start of the election campaign, that will end on February 17 with the appointment of President, Vice President of Ecuador and the members of the National Assembly, states that this Friday, January 4, this is more than just a formality, because in reality these the aspiring candidates of those functions, have an intense proselytizing activity, which has led them to different provinces to present their proposals.
According to newspaper El Universo, the National Electoral Council, the ruling body of the electoral act, has trained only 4% of the members of the polling stations in Guayas and nobody in other provinces like Pichincha, Imbabura, Santo Domingo, Pastaza and Zamora Chinchipe.
It is necessary to point out that several candidates, both presidential and for legislators, seized the ending holiday and the beginning of a new year, to carry out campaign through walks, door-to-door, handing out flyers and t-shirts, and even personally greeting the people on the toll road to the coast.
