Posted On 19 Sep 2014
This week, Emma Watson, child star of the Harry Potter saga, visited the Uruguayan parliament to support a new law to include more women in the political life of the country. This would be the first trip to Latin America of the actress, who last year appointed as goodwill ambassador for the UN rights of women.
Thousands of young people were present at the Legislative Palace in Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, for a closer look of the actress, who followed closely the process of collecting 5,500 signatures to support the new statute that creates a greater female quota in political positions.
