EU plans to remove visa for Colombians and Peruvians in 2014
As part of the proposal made by the Spanish President Mariano Rajoy, that Colombians and Peruvians do not need visas to enter the countries of the European Union, the European Commission informed that the issue will take a year or more to be analyzed.
“In the future, possibly in 2014,” said the Commission, which ensured that after nominations for this benefit, the acceptance process could be delayed even further.
According to the El Pais Newspaper from Spain, the European Commission has not received any formal request and that among the countries to which they will retire such obligation are neither Peru nor Colombia. Furthermore, the Commission added that the proposal have to be raised by themselves and have the support of the Council and the Parliament.

Last August 11, Spanish president Mariano Rajoy made the proposal of entering Colombia and Peru inside the countries that does not need visa to enter the European Union.
