Every school is responsible of its risk plan
Posted On 21 May 2016
Christian Rivera, director of the Metropolitan Emergency Operational Center (COEM for its acronym in spanish), explained that an emergency plan for earthquakes in schools must itemize the evacuation places, the principal threats and how students and teachers must proceed.
Riviera suggests that the plan must be made by the teachers and students, because every establishment owns particular characteristics (classrooms on buildings, for example, or trails on ramps). He also recommends to make a simulacrum once a year and invite the parents and let them know what to do in case of any natural event.
