Expectation after meeting of President Lenin Moreno with media representatives

The legislators of the Alianza PAIS (AP) Party want to know the degree of co-responsibility to be assumed by the local media, whose delegates met with President Lenin Moreno.
Legislator Doris Soliz admitted that during the government of Rafael Correa the dialogue with the press was broken but that “dialogue has not been broken on the side of the citizen revolution but on the unethical, utterly biased and partial behavior kept by the media concerning issues of national interest and the governmental processes.”
Meanwhile, yesterday the head of the Christian Social Party Carlos Falquez applauded the dialogue between Moreno and representatives of the private media; And took the opportunity to ask the president to revoke the sanctions applied by the Superintendence of Communications to some press, since last May 24, when he took office.
He said that fines and penalties to the media “were undoubtedly imposed with a Communication Law the political opposition considers should be repealed.” (I)
