Posted On 11 Jul 2014

BRENDOFFThe statements of the Coordinating Minister of Production Richard Espinosa, on the charging of a fee for postal consignments by the 4×4 system have surprised international couriers.

“We received the news with surprise”, said Mario Cuvi, sector representative in the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, after meeting with colleagues throughout the day to treat the subject.

International courier companies and its associations currently expect the government to clarify what is the intent of this measure, before issuing an official position.
