Fernando Balda goes to Prison After Being Deported from Colombia
Fernando Balda, former assemblymen of Sociedad Patriotica was expelled from Colombia yesterday. The Department of Immigration of that country informed of the decision through a document that stated that last August 25 they received an Ecuadorian deportation request.
Balda has a sentence for the felony of defamation by a trial made by Oscar Herrera, former manager of Insurance Sucre, for this he’s facing two years of prison. Balda accused Herrera for “crimes of arrogation of functions, influence traffic and owning a mafia.”
After 20:00 (GMT) Balda arrived to the Mariscal Air force base of Quito in a plane, of the Colombian Armed Forces, afterwards he was taken to Guayaquil in a small plane. Around 21:15 (GMT) they descended to the metropolis, finally the General Prosecutor, Galo Chiriboga, confirmed that Balda was transferred to the Coastal Prison. AV
