Fidel Castro turns 86

The former dictator of Cuba, Fidel Castro turned 86-years-old today. Castro has been away of the public life and the power, but he continues to be the center of the attention of the Cuban people.

In the last few days all the official Cuban media dedicated entire pages to the “partner Fidel”. The government agency has scheduled some cultural events in several neighborhoods in different cities to celebrate the 86 years of the commander.

Castro started to fade away in 2006, and has since dedicated his time to write ‘Reflections’ in which he exposes his thoughts and opinions about some issues, mainly of international content. The former dictator also criticizes his ideological enemy, United States.

However since the past June 19 nobody has ready anything new about Fidel’s thoughts. Prior to this stop, the last brief thoughts of Castro awakened doubts about his physical and mental health. AV
