The fire in San Juan de Chillogallo, south-west of Quito, began last Thursday and since Sunday has alerted the security personnel of Petroecuador.
The pipeline employees have formed a security ring with hoses and an irrigation system to extinguish the blaze that develops just 3 km from the place.
The Ducts in which the oil circulates, are located within 2 meters deep, however, measures are being taken in case of emergency. (MZ)
