First final between Barcelona and Emelec is played today at the Monumental stadium

Barcelona and Emelec will face today at 20h00 at the Monumental stadium of Guayaquil for the title of national champion.

It’s the first time that both teams star a ‘Clásico del Astillero” to define the new champion of Ecuadorian soccer.

For this match Barcelona arrives with its full squad, while in Emelec, Marcos Mondaini would be discarded and the recovery of the player Pedro Quinonez (injured) was expected to confirm the eleven starters.

The referee Omar Ponce was chosen by the Arbitration Commission ETF (Ecuadorian Football Federation) as the center referee for the first final.

Asoguayas decided that for security reasons, the presence of organized visitors supporters (Boca del Pozo) is banned in the match.

The second and definitive final will be held on Sunday December 21, at 16: 30, in the Capwell stadium.
