Foreign Minister Patiño highlighted the importance of the Pacific in economic terms

Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, considered on January 13 that the Pacific zone will be the “most important of the world” in economic and trade terms the next decade.
The Pacific, understood and constructed as the area of contact and common strengthening, will be the most importanteconomic zone of the world in economic and commercial terms over the next decade,” Patiño said in a lecture at the 23 Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF).
From the geopolitical angle, he said that a point of coincidence among the countries that form the Asia Pacific Forum is the need to “adapt the institutions of global governance to the newe conomic, political and social realities” of the world.
