Foreign trade accounts are treading on negative grounds

According to the Central Bank of Ecuador, exports from January to May reached $ 8,190 million, contrary to the $ 11.123 million sold in the same period last year.
Employers are concerned because sales of non-oil products have declined. Coffee producers are exporting 35% of what they sold in 2012, said the president of the National Association of Coffe Exporters Askley Delgado.
US ambassador Adam Namm called a meeting with Askley Delgado to assess any help from that country. This year, government exonerated the advance payment of income tax in a 100% to companies dedicated to processing and export of instant coffee. “It is an encouragement for the coffee sector that faces its worst time,” says Delgado.
