Underemployment is considered to be people who received income below the minimum wage or worked less than the legal day and have the desire and availability to work additional hours. It is the sum of underemployment due to insufficient working time and insufficient income.
Regarding unpaid employment there were 931,088.
In February 2024, in the urban area 72.7% were of working age; 59.3% of the working-age population were economically active and of which, 94.5% were employed.
