Galo Chiriboga is criticized for resolution about the Diplomatic suitcase
Fernando Aguirre, Assemblyman from the Partido Sociedad Patriotica (PSP), revealed today that he will initiate a political trial against prosecutor Galo Chiriboga for the case of the diplomatic suitcase which contained liquid cocaine.
According to Aguirre, the prosecutor “intends to deny guilt responsibility for perpetrators, accomplices and participants in this case.”
Assembly member’s outrage comes after Chiriboga indicated last week that the diplomatic suitcase affair would be filed since “there are not any responsibles in the country (…), the dogs lost the scent and did not detect the drug (. ..), no official saw the drug being placed (…), and that there are three arrested in Italy and Ecuador will not be responsible for the case anymore (…).”

“They want to hide evidence of involvement of the Foreign Ministry and only blame Cristian Loor as author, accomplice and abettor in cocaine trafficking,” said Aguirre.
It should be noted that the case could be closed on the next January 24, since Article 215 of the Penal Code states that if within a year of the opening of the case, there is no basis to indict suspects, then it could be temporary or permanently archived.
