Gisele Bündchen Launches Campaign to Preserve Forests

The Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bündchen, joined today to the Amazon Day and presented an online campaign in defense of the rainforests.

The campaign was launched last monday by her YouTube channel ,to coincide with Brazil’s celebration of World Amazon Day .

To Bündchen, who is a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Program for Environment, it is important that the UN has established 2011 as the International Year of Forests which gives more meaning to the Day of the Amazon in home country.

In these videos, the actress and model highlights how the preservation of nature is important for us all.

“The sad thing is that the devastation (in Amazonia) grows at an alarming rate and threatens the forests and our own lives because our health depends on the health of the planet,” declares the Bündchen one of their videos.
