Posted On 11 Mar 2011
Due to the 8.9 quake and the tsunami that stroke Japan, Google launched its Person Finder tool to help people look for missing friends and family on the web.
The search engine had already done this when Chile and Haiti earthquakes happened. The application allows people to report missing people and searching through those records.
At the moment there are about 1,000 records uploaded onto Google’s tool.
