Google Saves Your Time
Google has recently introduced a new search feature, Google Instant. According to the company, it improves user experience and allows to save between 2 and 5 seconds in every search. This means more than 3500 million seconds daily and about 11 hours per second when we talk about the one thousand million of searches done everyday around the globe.
When using Google Instant, users don’t even have to click the search button; the results come instantly, in real time, as the words are introduced in the search bar. For example, if the letters “ap” are entered in the seacrh bar, a new tab will appear, with “apple” as the first result.
This new tool is available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Russian; it will take some weeks until it is accessible worldwide. Users who prefer the “classic” search mode can turn off the feature by simply clicking a link located next to the search bar.
According to Jonathan Effrat, Google Product Manager, there won’t be sponsored searches in Google Instant.
Javier Arias, Google Engineer in Spain, thinks this revolutionary feature will make the number one search engine even more effective. He also affirmed that with the implementation of this useful tool, searches will raise up to 20000 millions a day, 10 times more than actual searches.
