Government public accounts are not clear
The State has an intense battle with creditors since last year. It agrees with any figures or offer specific payment dates.
For the Fiscal Policy Observatory, civil society organization that monitors the management of public finances, the main problem is the lack of transparency in the state apparatus.
Its director, Jaime Carrera, said that it is unacceptable that citizens do not know how the public accounts are managed.
Information management is even more complex in debt with suppliers. According to Patricio Rivera, coordinator Minster of Political Economy, contractors have been paid up to 90% of them (25,000). The largest category is – oil companies. Payment of close to 800 million dollars, would arrive in the coming weeks.
