Governments of Ecuador and Peru will analyze the exodus of Venezuelans

The Foreign Ministry of Ecuador and its Peruvian counterpart will hold a binational table of human mobility to discuss the situation of the migratory flows of Venezuelans. The Deputy Minister of Human Mobility, Santiago Sanchez, said that it is not known if the table is organized before or during the binational cabinet, which will be held in October.
Also, Martín Vizcarra, president of Peru, will visit Quito to discuss commercial and migratory issues, mainly. “We are going to talk with Peru, we will strengthen relations to analyze issues related to human mobility,” Sanchez said.
Regarding the recent decision of the Ecuadorian government to declare a state of emergency to address the Venezuelan migration in Carchi, Pichincha and El Oro, the official highlighted the work of the United Nations (UN), in conducting studies, analysis and records, as well as in monitoring the policies and actions on the emergency.
