Graduates will have to take an obligatory placement test
As a requisite to enter College, all the students of the third year of high school from public , fiscomisional, municipal and private schools must take the National Examination for Higher Education (ENES).
The head of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt), Rene Ramirez explained that the parameters to be evaluated are: verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning.
An estimated of 218,643 students shall render the obligatory test. Of those, 150,000 are students from public schools; 14,000 from fiscomisional institutions; 3,000 from municipal schools and 50,000 from private schools.
In the process will be used 8,400 classrooms and 11,000 professionals will work. The tests will be taken on March 29in 550 venues and at the moment there are 210,000 students registered, Ramirez said.
