Guayaquil: 192 years of independence

With several civic activities, artistic and cultural, the largest and most populated city of Ecuador celebrates today a new anniversary of its political independency. In the midst of normal work day, because the government moved the holiday to Friday 12, the locals of Guayaquil will enjoy parades, festivals, and the classical military shows.
By the end of the afternoon, around 17h00 the National Government as well as the Council of the City Hall, will pay their respects to the city separately with popular sessions that will be performed in Malecon 2000, solemnized, by the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa and the Mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot.
