Guayaquil City Hall adjusts reconvening for Los Goles dredging

golesThe Guayaquil City Hall adjusted on Monday, September 22 a new call to choose the company that will deepen to 11 meters (at low tide), the area known as Los Goles, located in front of Posorja. The work will allow that deeper draft ships enter to the ports of Guayaquil, which will make its operations more efficient and competitive.

The municipal budget is 11’539.571,97  plus $ 650 per mile sailed of the dredgers. Jan De Nul bid $ 32’812.941,33 to the Municipality, but it could not place its bid on time in the the public procurement system, for which it did not meet the legal requirements, said Mónica Estrada, delegate of Mayor Jaime Nebot.

This new call will have changes, Estrada explained. The possibility that companies interested dredge the area between 7 and 13 buoy with one or two dredges.
