Guayaquil’s Airport will close its landing strip at dawn
Posted On 27 Aug 2013
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DAC for its Spanish acronym) reported that from today until September 5 the airport Jose Joaquin de Olmedo of Guayaquil will close its landing strip for seven hours a day, at dawn.
This decision was taken in order to perform maintenance works on the runway. Working hours will be from 00:05 am to 07:00am. According to the DAC and the concessionaire Tagsa, the works will not affect any operation.
It was emphasized that only helicopters can use the terminal during that time, as they do not use the airstrip.
