Guayas analyzes filing an appeal of institutional resolution

Prefect of Guayas, Jimmy Jairala met with the Commission on the Limits of the Provincial Council to discuss the possibility of bringing an action for institutional resolution before the President of the Republic, to solve the border dispute with the province of Manabi by the area La Manga del Cura.

The goal is that the president is the one to decide to which province belongs the area in dispute.

“Let’s see if we also interpose that resource so that the President not only has documentation of Manabi, but the one of Guayas. We will solve it over the course of the day”, said Jairala.

The provincial government also analyzes the same mechanism is chosen to resolve the conflict it has with the province of Cañar by the El Piedrero area.
