Guayas’ Vessel will sail today from the Malecón Simón Bolívar

Guayas Vessel, Ecuador’s famous ship prepares to sail today from the dock of the Naval Yacht Club (Malecón Simon Bolivar).
The national training ship for the staff of the “School for boatswain apprentices Juan Suarez”, will be formed by 275 sailors within the specialties of: Electricity, Naval Science, IT, Electronics, Mechanical and Supply Management.
It will be implemented in four phases in the ports of Salinas, Manta, Esmeraldas, Puerto Bolivar, and island of Puerto Ayora, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Puerto Villamil, until the 7th of June, time in which the apprentices will have the opportunity to meet the customs and culture of the different communities of the mainland and island coastline.
The Naval Training Vessel is one of the symbols of the Ecuadorian armed forces and every time it starts feelings of civility, nostalgia and patriotism are mixed up among the marines and their families, who staged festive ceremonies and emotional farewells at the dock.
