Hearing of the Cofiec case restarts today
Last Friday at the Court of the Criminal Division of the National Court of Justice, the prosecutor submitted the documents that would prove the participation of the accused in the crime specified in Section 257 of the Criminal Code. Certified copies of the credit application of Gaston D. as a natural person, were submitted although he had indicated he did so as a representative of the company Agroexportadora SA. The trial hearing was reinstalled today at 08:30 in Quito.
In addition, on Friday concluded the hearing of 23 witnesses, including experts, auditors and former workers of the Cofiec case. Magaly M., meanwhile, testified that Antonio B., executive president of the financial company, would have approved the operation order for the loan disbursement to D. Gaston, after she refused.
The prosecution last week delivered the voice recognition certificate containing a ‘pendrive.’ In the material an external person from the bank, would be listened pressuring officials of the Cofiec case to approve the credit.
