IDB gives a loan to Ecuador for Electricity Program

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced today it will hold a loan of 220 million dollars to Ecuador to finance the electricity distribution program.
The total cost of this program is USD 274.4 million. This will strengthen the National System of Electrical Distribution (SND for its Spanish acronym) in Ecuador to improve the service of electricity supply, said the IDB said in a statement.
The loan will be of a 25-year term, with a disbursement period of 48 months.
The IDB will work closely with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy (MEER for its Spanish acronym).
