“If banks do not migrate to the electronic system, they will be offside”

When Efraín Vieira took over the executive presidency of Banco del Pacífico in mid-2013, he was surprised to learn that in that last year only 20 new ATMs were installed. Driven by the need to innovate and modernize banking and thanks to his Fintech knowledge (financial services with new technologies), the following year 212 ATMs were placed throughout the country.

“I visualize that if the banks – that have a very traditional operation – do not migrate and switch to electronic transaction schemes, we are going to be offside,” said Vieira.
