Yachay: the great infrastructure of $ 213 million

The infrastructure and equipment required today to complete the Yachay university campus must be delivered before 2018.

The investment reaches $ 213,728,738.61, the sum of the contracts that Yachay EP signed with the Ecuadorian-Korean company Conecuakor (May 7, 2014) and the Chinese company Gezhouba Group Company Limited (November 25, 2015).

Investment costs at this early stage amount to $ 1.041’182.639,45, according to the provisions of the master plan.

It comprises the infrastructure required for the start-up and operation of the university, its technological park, and the Yachay industrial park area.

The current state of the work? Five buildings whose construction has been paralyzed since May 2015 and a non-existent sewer system. (I)
