International Artist Donated Painting to Noboa Naranjo Museum
On January 27 of the present year, Ambassador of Panama, Roberto Ruiz Diaz, officially donated a painting of the famous Panamanian artist, Aristides Ureña Ramos. The artwork was given to Alvaro Noboa, Founding President of the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum.
The painting’s title is “Historia del sombrero de Jipijipa” (Panama Hat). The ceremony was held in the Museum facilities. This event marks the beginning of the institutional activities for 2011. This piece of art was exposed during the II Bienal de Guayaquil “ALVARO NOBOA,” event that received positive reviews from the Ecuadorian press.
Ureña is an art professor at the San Marcos institute in Florence, Italy. Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, which was founded by Alvaro Noboa in 2006 as a way to continue his fathers’ artistic collection and to support the art and culture in the country. Currently the museum is helping Ureña to coordinate an exposition of Italian artists Alberto Gallingani and Amadeo Lanci. (AV)
