The political party “Ruptura de los 25” was founded in 2004, its name is a tribute to the 25 years of democracy return in Ecuador; they group is reminded because they supported the “Outlaws” protests which ended the government of the Former President Lucio Gutiérrez.
The group entered the electoral life as part of a coalition of political movements that founded the political party PAIS in 2006 and it was one of the main drivers of Correa’s political process, called the Civic Revolution.
