International fairs promote domestic production

There is an increasing number of Ecuadorian companies that participate in international trade fairs as a promotion, diversification and sales strategies. This is the case of La Universal, which will export products to the African market, thanks to a contract signed in the Gulf Food Fair, organized in the United Arab Emirates which is visited annually by more than 70,000 people related to the food industry.
Today, the official task is held by the Institute for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Proecuador), which in 2014 made possible for Ecuador, through corporate participation, to display its products in 36 international showcases.
