US Secretary of State John Kerry and his Iranian counterpart, Mohamed Javad Zarif, met this Wednesday in Geneva a meeting considered “important” to advance negotiations on the nuclear program.
“I think it’s important and show that both sides are available to advance and accelerate the process,” said Zarif to some reporters before his meeting with Kerry.
The meeting is held before the meeting which will take place on Sunday between Iran and the major powers.
Zarif also told Iranian media that will present new proposals. “We are ready to bring to fruition all the points, but we must see if the other party is also ready,” he said.
This meeting will conclude this Wednesday, pending that Iranian and American experts meet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, before the meeting between Iran and the 5 + 1 group (US, Russia, China, France, UK and Germany ) next Sunday.
