Jorge Glas was transferred to the jails of Latacunga
Ecuadornews:

Former Vice President Jorge Glas Espinel officially entered tonight at the Social Rehabilitation Center of Latacunga, where he was transferred from the Prison 4 in Quito.
Glas entered before 22:00 this Sunday to the prison of Latacunga, and his state of health is stable, it was indicated to the media.
In a statement, the Communication Secretariat reported that after the flight of former communications secretary Fernando Alvarado, a police intelligence report was received, and for security reasons, Glas was transferred.
“He’s security will be guaranteed according to the current protocols,” the statement said.
Escorted by uniformed officers from several special units of the National Police, Glas was taken at 7:00 pm from jail 4 to be taken to the Social Rehabilitation Center of Latacunga.
Eduardo Franco Loor, lawyer of Glas denounced tonight in social networks the transfer of Glas, what he described as a “political vendetta”, violates his right of immediacy, since the process is in Appeal of Cassation.

“He is held uncommunicated with his family and technical defense, international standards are violated on the protection of persons deprived of liberty,” Franco said in his Twitter account.
This month Glas served a year in prison at the Prison 4 in Quito, in the case of an illicit association related to Odebrecht, in which he was sentenced as an author to six years of minor imprisonment. (I)
