Xavier Portilla launches a book that collects his work

Today will be the launch of the book “Los Colores de Mi Alma”(The colors of my soul) developed by the artist Xavier Portilla and which includes landscape themes, marine life, flowers, trees and portraits, this is Portilla’s second publication in which he exhibits part of his pictorial work among which are paintings, murals, sculptures and utilitarian art.

“This book is like a son to me and was born counting part of my experience as an artist and migrant” says the painter from Guayaquil, recognized for his creations full of light in which the contrasts, lines and strokes stand out.

The official presentation will be at 4:00 pm in the conference room of the Casa Grande University and will be open to the public.

Prior to the release of the work will be carried out a sample in which some of his most representative works will be exhibited.

The copies will be available to the public for a value of $ 25. In addition to this, the artist will share with the attendees the process that he experienced in the realization of the publication.

In addition to having important exhibitions, such as the one held at the Teatro Sánchez Aguilar, last year the artist has also received a decoration as the “Vicente Rocafuerte” for artistic merit by the Ecuadorian congress. (I)
