Judgment against Isaías brothers was reactivated in U.S.
The court case of the former owners of Filanbanco, brothers William and Roberto Isaías, was resumed after the Court in Florida(USA) annulled the May 2013 judgment that favored the former bankers.
The judicial process was raised by Ecuador with the purpose to charge the losses that generated the closure of the bank. The amount would be $ 264 million.
The decision, issued on July 2 by the Court of Florida, reversed the judgment of Judge John W. Thornton, who determined that Ecuador intended, with this judgment, seizing Isaías properties in the U.S.
According to the Attorney, with the demand it was not attempted to seize the assets of the defendants in Miami, but to collect outstanding payment values in Ecuador.
Xavier Castro, Attorney of the Isaias brothers in Ecuador, reported a ruling on the judgment will be given in the coming hours.
