Julian Assange’s Twitter account has disappeared
Ecuadornews:
The personal Twitter account of WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has disappeared from the social network without any indication of what could be the reason.
The online search profile Australian journalist, exiled since 2012 in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, leads to a page that “does not exist”, although no one has yet been able to confirm the alleged deletion of the account.
The British newspaper The Independent points out today that it is unclear whether this popular social network has decided to remove the account or has been Assange, 46, himself who would have opted for this measure.
During the last days, the ex hacker has been very active in the publication of tweets in favor of the independence of Catalonia in the middle of a crisis. Just six days ago, the president of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, said that the Australian had pledged not to intervene in the Catalan crisis, because his asylum status does not allow him to comment on issues of Ecuadorian politics or friendly countries.
