Justin Bieber apologizes after racist joke video came to light

Posted On 02 Jun 2014

“I’m sorry,” “I take very seriously my friendship with people of all cultures and I apologize for having offended or hurt someone with my childish and inexcusable behavior,” said the statement Bieber sent to The Associated Press, after it came to light a video recorded five years ago that shows the singer telling a racist joke, where he refers in a pejorative way to black people.

The Sun, a British tabloid, posted the video in which Bieber, 15 years old at then, laughingly telling a joke about black people, and using a derogatory term at the end, despite he is being not to do it. All this happens at a time the singer faces legal charges for his disruptive behavior.
