La Hora seeks to block the enactment of SUPERCOM

The managers of daily La Hora yesterday requested protection actions and precautionary measures to stop the sanction of SUPERCOM for alleged prior censorship.

Santiago Guarderas, defense attorney of the media, along with Fernando and Luis Vivanco, submitted these resources in the drawing room of the Judicial Branch against the “legal violation” that involves, at their discretion, the resolution of the entity.

Luis Vivanco, General Editor of La Hora, hopes that this resource allows “reasonableness shine.” The Vivancos stated that they will not cancel the $ 3,540 fine for having infringed Section 18 of the Communications Law, on prior censorship, “because it did not cover and disseminate” the accountability of the mayor of Loja Bolivar Castillo.
