Yesterday, during the solemn session for the 197 years of Independence of Guayaquil, a public-private agreement was signed for the dredging of the zone of influence of the Maritime Port. It specifically refers to the cleaning of Los Goles area, to improve the draft of the ports of the city.
Mayor Jaime Nebot thanked the presence of President Lenin Moreno and took the opportunity to defend the referendum arguing that the people are the one to decide and not the rulers or politicians.
In his speech, Nebot also defined and redefined the word revolution in clear reference to the previous government. He mentioned socialist poets and leaders to explain that the revolution is not a class struggle, but the progress of human beings. (I)
