Lomas de Sargentillo and Pedernales choose dignities

In order to elect their authorities, today, citizens of Pedernales (Manabí) and Lomas de Sargentillo (Guayas) have been summoned to the polls. Last Tuesday, the National Electoral Council (CNE), took this decision following a resolution adopted by the plenary of Organism.
53,285 voters will elect in Pedernales their Prefect, Vice-prefect, Mayor, urban and rural Councilors, and members of the rural parochial of Cojimies, 10 de Agosto and Atahualpa.

This canton repeat elections due to the annulment of the elections on Feb. 23 by the Electoral Dispute Tribunal (TCE), having accepted an appeal for annulment that brought the mayoral candidate by the Avanza party, Oscar Nieto Arcentales.

While in Lomas de Sargentillo urban Councilors will be choosen in two election precincts located in the schools Manuela Cañizares and Lomas de Sargentillo,  12,788 people will go to the polls.
