Long lines at bus terminal in Guayaquil
With signs in their offices, Occidental, Flota Imbabura y Transporte Ecuador transportation cooperatives reported that they have already sold out all the tickets for the buses that travel since yesterday from the terminal terrestre.
From 15:00 began to fill the windows with travelers who sought to go to Quevedo, Santo Domingo, Salinas, Playas and other cities of Manabi.
In Trans Esmeraldas , they sell the tickets for the Saturday shifts, because they was a cooperative that sold the tickets in advance.
The passing of carts with bags made difficult the walking to the travelers waiting 30-45 minutes for their ticket.
In cooperatives which are directed to Santa Elena, the arrival of passengers was gradual. 15:30, about 30 people expected to pay the $3.30 costing ticket.
“We have 150 buses between three cooperatives (Liberpesa, CLP and CICA) for this holiday. They are leaving every seven minutes,”said Christian Granizo,of CICA cooperative, who was expected to increase the demand for tickets at 18:00.
Thus, peninsular routes relied on the demand of users.
