Lula Is Discharged Of The Hospital
Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, was discharged in the afternoon of the Syrian Lebanese Hospital in Sao Paulo.
Lula suffers from larynx cancer and was admitted in the hospital on March 4 with incipient pneumonia. Doctors indicate that a mild pneumonia is normal in a patient like Lula, who has been subjected to three cycles of chemotherapy and 33 radiotherapy sessions.
Arthur Katz, Lula’s oncologist, said that he recently conducted some preliminary analyzes that do not reveal the presence of the tumor that Lula was diagnosed with last October. However, he clarified that these tests were not made in order to determine whether the tumor was eradicated completely. “There is so much inflammation, inflammation and swelling don’t allow a proper assessment,” he said.
